SATUC World Cup England Squad selection

The British team (2TR), who are participating in the SATUC World Cup 2017 Doha (which takes place every two years), is getting ready for the final trials taking place on May 27th, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Arsenal (Emirates Stadium Hub Bootcamp). The best 8 players will be chosen then to represent England in the Cup. The representative charity also played in the first SATUC Cup in Egypt in 2015 during which the British team acceded to the third position following Egypt and Côte d’Ivoire.

In the first edition of the SATUC Cup, where eight teams participated, several children were chosen to play in international teams around the world due to the talent spotters hoping to afford them a new chance at life. The success of the first Cup attracted more talented spotters in the footballing world as well as football stars. This allows the children to benefit greatly as more opportunities are presented to them while enjoying the experience of playing in a new country and understanding the culture there.

These children need all our support, as they have no one to support them or encourage them to follow their dreams. The attention they get from the media and stars from around the world gives them self-confidence and more hope in fulfilling their dreams. Governments and NGOs cooperate with us to offer chances for a better life to these children who are deprived of their families due to wars and various other social problems.

The SATUC World Cup U15, to be held in Qatar from October 21st to November 4th, 2017, will witness the largest international gathering with thirty-two participating teams coming from all over the world. Therefore, this event will offer a unique chance for the children of the next generation to come together and meet new people and understand new cultures to lessen the friction that we see today between countries. It will also be a great opportunity for outstanding talents to be discovered by famous clubs as a first step for these deprived children on their way to professionalism and to escape marginalization and the claws of poverty.
The SATUC World Cup was founded by Sheikha/ Sheikha Al Thani president of SATUC charity. The first SATUC Cup was an incredible success and attracted attention from many international associations to SATUC and its president. The award of Sheikh/ Mohamed bin Rashed Al-Maktoum for creative sports crowned the success of SATUC and the efforts of Sheikha/ Sheikha. The organization was elected the best Arab association in view of its effective role and its innovative idea to use the World Cup for orphans as a means of integrating underprivileged children into society.
