“SATUC” organized a Seminar entitled “Palestine Calling” with the participation of Professor Walid Faziha, a distinguished researcher and author in the field of politics, and Professor Jamal Zayda, former Al-Ahram Editorial Director for International Affairs, in the presence of Sheikha Al Thani, SATUC Chairperson.

The Seminar was also attended by Nour Khattab, nutrition and fitness specialist, Dr. Islam Ibrahim, and Ms. Nevin Al-Messiri, SATUC boards, in the presence of a large number of students at EUE University.

The Seminar began with Sheikha Al Thani welcoming the attendees for their interest in participating in this thorny topic, which is the Palestinian issue, and the developments surrounding this issue since the events of the Al-Aqsa Flood on the seventh of last October.

Seminar topics addressed the depth of the Palestinian issue and the effects of the Israeli occupation and its developments since the flood of October 7, in which  Professor Walid Qaziha spoke in depth about the political dimensions that occurred in Palestine, stressing that the Arab-Israeli conflict is old and not of the moment, but has developed and deepened significantly since the Al-Aqsa flood.
He said that the declared goals of the Israeli occupation were not the real goal because it was not the land and the occupation that was their goal, but obliterating the Palestinian identity and displacing them the primary goal by transferring them to Sinai, but they failed in this plan, which made them resort to another plan, which is to distribute a large portion of them to approximately 20 countries to relieve The population density of Gaza is considered the highest in the world, and from here comes its danger to Israel, especially since the Palestinians love to have children.

Gamal Zayda, Al-Ahram’s editor-in-chief for international affairs, spoke about the beginning of the Jewish conflict with the Arabs and the 1948 war, which was a turning point and the beginning of the Arab retreat in Palestine, stressing that the events of October 7 brought the Palestinian issue back to the scene again after it had been a forgotten issue and far from calculations, but after the Al-Aqsa flood and what happened. After that, the whole world started talking about the Palestinian issue and the Palestinian people and what was happening to them, but there was no action by any Arab country regarding what was happening, but the only anti-Israel position was from South Africa when it went to the International Court.

The first day of the “Palestine Calls” Seminar concluded with a speech by Sheikha Al Thani, who spoke about the Palestinian issue, stressing that her studies were on the Palestinian issue, and the deeper she delved into it, the more she saw how humiliating and unfortunate the situation was for us as an Arab nation and dishonorable for us as an Islamic nation.
She said that there are Arabs in Israel who suffer greatly from the actions of the Israelis toward them, especially since there are laws in Israel that help in the theft of lands, meaning land laundering, such as money laundering, which is the absentee law, which always helps the Israelis in stealing lands from the Palestinians and works to erase the identity of Palestine.
She said that the Palestinian issue is deep and not superficial as some see it, and it needs more depth in light of what she sees as the plunder and obliteration of the identity of the Palestinians.
