Sheikha Al Thani meets in her office in London with The 2 Touch Rulz Team (2TR) team which will be representing England at the 2015 SATUC Cup. The 2 Touch Rulz Team (2TR) came to SATUC’s office in London to record why they are excited by the opportunities that the 2015 SATUC Cup affords. 2TR will be starting its trials within a fortnight to choose its team which will be representing England at the 2015 SATUC Cup.
Trials will take place in north London seeking to engage the most talented individuals who have come from disadvantaged backgrounds. The children must all be either 14 or 15 at the time of the tournament.
Charlie Browne, co-founder of 2TR, said “We’re very excited about this opportunity. This is a chance for kids who might have never been abroad before to go and see one of the Seven Wonders of the World. It’s a chance for them to learn about different cultures and do it all through football”.
Sheikh said that “her experience with them changed her life and gave her a new perspective in life. Helping others and saving them became her goal.”
Christian Rule, Director at 2TR, said “This will be something that these kids will be telling their kids and grandkids. That in itself is a legacy. We are greatly looking forward to giving the 2015 SATUC Cup as big a footprint as possible in the UK.”
