SATUC TO CELEBRATE RAMADAN SUHOOR AT SPECIAL SATUC CUP PREVIEW EVENT IN CAIRO, 7 JULY
With less than two months to go until the inaugural 2015 SATUC Cup, the organizers of this unique tournament for underprivileged children are holding a special event on 7 July 2015, to mark the end of the Holy month of Ramadan.
Hosted by SATUC founder Princess Sheikha Al-Thani, the SATUC Ramadan Suhoor will be a celebration to showcase the international soccer tournament to come and to introduce some of our amazing lineup of star ambassadors to the assembled VIPs and the international press.
The highlight of the Ramadan Suhoor event, to be held at Cairo’s Mövenpick Hotel, will be a friendly six-a-side match between the Egyptian and Syrian teams, both of whom will be competing for the Cup in the August 28-Sept 3 event.
Joining SATUC for this special feast, with food and entertainment will on offer, the invited audience will hear first-hand about the compassionate ideals behind Sheikha’s vision for the SATUC Cup, which is all about giving new life chances and opportunities to some of the world’s least privileged children. Our welcome guests will have the chance to mingle with our SATUC Cup ambassadors who will be in attendance including some of the best-known players in the Middle East and beyond. The list includes our President Hassan Shehata and Ahmed Hassan, as well as our galaxy of event Ambassadors, all of them legends of the “beautiful game”: Ahmed Shobair, Shawky Gharib, Jorge Luis Pinto, Nader El Sayid, Ali Al-Habsi, Ahmad Hayel, Carlo Cudici, Rabah Madjer, Ahmed Elmohamadi, Aziz Bouderbala, Hady Khashaba, Hazem Emam, Emad Moteab, Emad Al Nahhas, Ahmed Elmohamadi, Shikabala, Magdy Abdel Ati, Aboulaye Traore, Osama Hosny, Haitham Mustafa, Hani Al-Dhabit, Khaled Al Fadhli, Fuad Anwar, Bashar Abdullah, Firas Al-Khatib, Akram Nashat and Sami Al-Jaber.
SATUC has also been privileged to have attracted the support of VIPs from outside of the world of soccer, including the ballet dancer Fernando Montana, actress Ragaa El-Geldani, beauty queen Yara Naoum, singer Samira Saeed and Egyptian Sports Minister El Amry Farouk
Sheikha Al-Thani said: “Ramadan Suhoor is a special celebration for Muslims everywhere, and we at SATUC are delighted to be sharing it with friends and supporters, who are working hard to ensure that the first-ever SATUC Cup will be a great success. As well as promising an exciting evening of sport, our Suhoor celebration will be a welcome chance to give more detail of plans for the SATUC Cup, to tell some of the inspiring stories of the teams who will be attending, and to thank all of our sponsors and supporters.”
Speaking from Morocco, where he is counted one of the greats of the game, Aziz Bouderbala said: “I’m very excited to have been invited to Egypt by Princess Sheikha to celebrate Suhoor with SATUC. This event is not just a sporting event it is a wonderful humanitarian celebration of the children of the world.”
Rabah Madjer the great Algerian striker said: “As a proud Ambassador for the SATUC Cup I am greatly looking forward to joining Sheikha and her team in welcoming honoured guests from the international press, business, and the diplomatic community to celebrate Suhoor with us.”
