SATUC is delighted to announce that Honduras will be fielding a team at the 2015 SATUC Cup. They will be coached by the world-renowned Jorge Luis
Pinto successfully guided Costa Rica to the Quarter Finals of the 2014 World Cup; his involvement offers a huge boost to the profile of the tournament. The SATUC Cup will be hosted in Cairo and will see 14-15-year-olds from 8 different countries competing against each other.
The children competing will all come from disadvantaged backgrounds – many of them being street children and orphans. SATUC is partnering with charities and
organizations in each of the 8 different countries that use sport as a tool to aid social development. The children in the Honduras team will come from San Pedro Zola – with some of the highest crime and murder rates in the world. The scheme will be supported by the Mayor of San Pedro Zola as well as by the President of Honduras. The participation of Honduras again extends the reach of the SATUC Cup making it a truly global event.
