SATUC are delighted to announce their sponsorship of 2TR’s London Schools Tournament. It comes as SATUC seeks to boost their activity in the UK. The tournament will take place in Haverstock school with teams competing from all across London on the 9th of December.
2 Touch Rulz (2TR) is unique in that it is a new codification of football. Players are only allowed to touch the ball twice on consecutive occasions. This main attribute of 2TR as well as other rules ensures that it is a fast paced, exciting game based around teamwork. 2TR also works on a programmer of social mentoring to help children with the transition from school to adulthood providing life skills and role models in this regard. It seeks to enact social change through sport.
Sheikha Al-Thani, founder of SATUC, said “We are delighted to be able to support 2TR’s football tournament. SATUC is always looking to use sport in a positive way and we were struck with the work that 2TR are doing all over London and across the UK. I hope this is the start of an enduring partnership with them.”
Charlie Browne, co-founder of 2TR said “The London Schools tournament is an opportunity for kids from different schools and boroughs to test their skill set in a 2 Touch Rulz context. SATUC have been great about getting behind the project and helping us to spread 2TR as much as possible.”
