Syria Al Gad Relief Foundation began its relief work as an emergency response to the deteriorating conditions within Syria due to warfare that resulted in an extreme lack in basic services and severe living conditions. After the deterioration of the situation of the Syrian people as a result of recent political events, a humanitarian crisis erupted, and individual attempts can no longer make an impact. Thus, Syria Al Gad was born as a result of this understanding, that the individual work that started at the beginning of the conflict will be more effective if done at an organizational scale. As an apolitical organization, Syria Al Gad depends on various funding sources, mainly through our various partnerships with international humanitarian organizations, charitable businessmen, and development projects. Syria Al Gad strives to develop and diversify its sources of funding to fulfil the needs of those benefitting from it.

SATUC SYRIAN FOOTBALL PLAYERS
The Syrian team are refugees and orphans now based in Egypt and their selection was organised by the charity Syria Relief. Syria Relief was established in September 2011 by a group of British-based Syrian expatriates, shortly after the start of the crisis in Syria. They help people affected by the conflict, irrespective of race, religion, geographical location or political persuasion, with special attention given to supporting families. They have a solid network of committed staff on the ground inside Syria, which enables them to access hard-to-reach rural areas, as well as heavily populated and even besieged areas. Through these networks they support and help administer a number of vital field hospitals, primary health centres, mental health clinics and other healthcare programmes inside Syria. Funds also go towards education, food and food security, water and sanitation, orphan and family support, and shelter.
