Syria team complete their trials for the 2015 SATUC World Cup

The Syrian team participating at the 2015 SATUC World Cup has just been finalised following the successful team trials on Wednesday earlier this week (06/05/2015). Unfortunately not everyone could be selected and while there were many who were disappointed not to make the final eight, they have already expressed their support and happiness for the lucky few who will go on and represent Syria in front of the world.   The final eight are overjoyed to be taking part in the competition and will be training very hard so that they can go out and make the Syrian people proud once the tournament kicks off. After so much tragedy in recent times it is our duty to help the Syrian children achieve their dreams and give the Syrian people something to cheer about.     SATUC would like to thank in particular SATUC team member Ms Shery Al Khamessy and Mr Ghassan Kamel, the coordinator at our partner charity Syria Al Gad Relief Foundation, for their tireless work in helping organise this event and bringing the Syrian team one step closer to the tournament kick-off in August. For SATUC founder Sheikha Al Thani and all the SATUC team it is a real honour and privilege help support the Syrian refugee children at the 2015 SATUC World Cup. These children’s lives have been torn apart by the worst humanitarian crisis of modern times and Sheikha is truly humbled to be in a position to provide these courageous and talented children with opportunities to make their dreams come true. SATUC believes it is our duty as a conscientious member of a global charitable community to step in and offer whatever help we can to these children who have already had to suffer so much in their young lives – we encourage each and every one of you to rally round and help support our Syrian brothers and sisters.
