SATUC is working in collaboration with FundLife International Foundation to pick 13 young players, from Filipinos underprivileged children, including 3 goalkeepers. SATUC is delighted to announce that a team of Philippine children will join 2017 SATUC CUP and we will soon announce the names of the players who will compete for a place in the 2017 SATUC CUP.

FundLife International, an organisation tackling extreme socio-economic inequality, launched Football for Life (F4L) in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda). FundLife Vision is that every young person to have equal rights to play, education and unbiased opportunity to reach their full potential– To Enable Dreams in Colour. their Mission that To work with host communities in conceptualising and implement in gholistic education and empowerment initiatives for Marginalised Youth and Rural Poor (MYRP), which identify and tackle the causes of intergenerational poverty and inequality.

FundLife International was founded in England and Wales in 2012 by Marko Kasic, who had been consulting for several small found at ions both in Europe and Asia seeking alter native education models for children from marginalised communities.
In March 2014, FundLife UK approached UNICEF and Assist Asia to implement the Football for Life (F4L) programme, supporting Haiyan survivor – children in Tacloban. Using Football as tool for empowerment, the F4L project provided psychosocial support to Haiyan – survivor children, debriefing them through play therapy.
FundLife International was founded as a non- for -profit, non – stock NGO in the Philippines on 10th Feb 2015 and immediately signed a partnership agreement with UNICEF to use the F4L programme as afoundational platform to deliver a holistic youth development programme for displaced youth in Tacloban.
In January 2016, FundLife began working with the UNDP to build a framework for the equitable participation of youth and marginalised groups for the new SDG’s (Global Goals). This discussion led to FundLife delivering community and local government SDG training to foster a culture of transparency and accountability at both community and local government leve

For SATUC founder Sheikha Al Thani and all the SATUC team it is a real honour and a privilege to help support the Filipinos children at the 2017 SATUC World Cup. Sheikha is truly humbled to be in a position to provide these courageous and talented children with opportunities to make their dreams come true.

SATUC believes it is our duty as a conscientious member of a global charitable community to step in and offer whatever help we can to these children, who have already had to suffer so much in their young lives.
