Final trials for Egypt team at 2015 SATUC World Cup
Last week the final trials for the host nation drew to a close amid much fanfare and excitement with 8 lucky boys having their places confirmed at August’s tournament.
The whole SATUC team and coaches were really pleased with how the event unfolded – all the boys tried their hardest, and although the competition was intense, they treated each other with great respect & sportsmanship throughout. The SATUC coaches were also delighted with the quality shown by all the triallists and are confident that the final team will deliver some memorable performances at this year’s inaugural tournament.
The next step for the lucky eight – as it is for all the triallists – is to complete their studies and exams before they attend the pre-tournament training camp around the beginning of July; this will be under the supervision of a team of dedicated SATUC coaches, who will ensure the boys undergo rigorous fitness tests, as well as working on tactics and teamwork-based exercises which should prepare the Egyptian team well for when the first ball is kicked.
