Within the framework of supporting Governments to encourage sports activities for underprivileged children, SATUC decided to organize SATUC World Cup 2018 cooperated with the Bulgarian football union, with the participation of 12 civil associations for childcare from all over the world. Over 7 days SATUC, gave a 5 Star experience to the talented underprivileged children, giving them a platform to show the world what they could doThe Cup was held in the National Football Centre “BOYANA” Bulgarian Football Union Stadium in Sofia. The SATUC World Cup witnessed 12 teams participated were competing to win the SATUC World Cup from August 10th, 2018 until August 17th, 2018.

2nd press conference, Sheikha Al Thani and the Portuguese star gave a press conference at the Bulgarian Football Union. Nuno Gomes during which he thanked both the SATUC Foundation and the Bulgarian Football Union for its excellent organization.

The last emotional day of the tournament included Sheikha Al Thani, Sultan Al Thani, and special ambassadors such as Nuno Gomes who arrived at the event, and others such as Tiago Ribeiro, Osama Nabih, Gamal Allam, Nour Khatab, Tamer Amin, Aziz Bouderbala, Redouane Barkaoui, Iakhdar Belloumi.

SATUC Ambassadors Stars Match | Sofia

Nuno Gomes, the Portuguese striker took part in the stars match between the ambassadors of the tournament such as Tiago Ribeiro, Osama Nabih, Gamal Allam, Nour Khatib, Tamer Amin, Aziz Bouderbala, Redouane Barkaoui, and Iakhdar Belloumi and European football legends, including the Bulgarian stars from the recent past Yordan Lechkov, Emil Kostadinov, Petar Hubchev, Georgi Donkov, Angel Stoykov, and Boncho Genchev. The duel that took place between the small and the big finals ended 4: 3 for the European squad, as Princess Sheikha Al Thani took part in both teams.

Sports Management Bulgaria is a project that started in 2011 by Viktor Kirkov. From Sofia, it expanded to other Bulgarian cities such as Plovdiv and Varner. Today, they work with homeless people, refugees (especially from Mali and Eritrea) and disadvantaged youth.

SATUC, interest is now strongly focused on Syrian children. Therefore, their participation in the World Football Cup (soccer) for Orphans, has become our main concern and will draw attention to the suffering and hardships confronting the Syrian people during the last years. In fact, Syrian children have paid a lofty price for the war going on in their country, However, the exerted joint efforts exerted by NGO’s and SATUC among them, is to provide them with a better future.

Los Pioneros, promote positive changes in children, adolescents and young people of Callao, who are at social risk, improving their quality of life and learning, through sports, art, education and culture. They are an Association that uses Football as a tool for social transformation promoting the integral development of children.

After the final match took place a glamorous closing ceremony of the SATUC 2018 World Cup. Personally, BFU President Borislav Mihaylov presented the championship Nigeria’s trophy and the medalists received their distinctions from Sheikha Al Thani, Sultan Al Thani, Nuno Gomes, Tiago Ribeiro, Osama Nabih, Gamal Allam, Nour Khatib, Tamer Amin, Aziz Bouderbala, Redouane Barkaoui and Iakhdar Belloumi, Sheikha / Sheikha Al-Tani and Deputy Executive Director of BFS Pavel Kolev.
Individual awards went to Asen Traykov (Bulgaria) for the best goalkeeper, Usman Hosseini (Nigeria) for the top scorer and best footballer; Edwin Johnson (Liberia) was named “Boy to Write”, a prize bestowed on him by the chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Sports Journalists Naiden Todorov. The Team Fair Play Prize was awarded to Indonesia. The race ended with an impromptu party for all the players on the pitch

1st place

Nigeria Champions/gold medal

Nigeria SATUC team walloped Liberia 4-0 in the final of the competition to win the trophy. The Nigerian U-16 side scored 26 goals in five matches and conceded only three throughout the competition. Nigeria’s red-hot striker, Arafat Hussain scored a brace against Liberia to increase his overall goals to nine to become the most valuable/highest goal scorer of the tournament.

2nd Place / Silver medal Liberia

Liberia was invited through the Ministry of Youth and Sports to participate in the tournament. The tournament is aimed at giving disadvantaged children and orphans space to excel, making them the center of attention, and, through encouragement and mentoring, encouraging their successful self-realization and putting a smile on their faces.

SATUC Bulgarian team beat 4: 2 SATUC Morocco team, they also recorded four victories and only one defeat – in the highly contested semi-final against Nigeria 0: 1
